Adelaide and the greater South Australian region can expect mostly sunny days with mild temperatures for the rest of the week and the weekend.
Adelaide’s weather will be partly cloudy for the remainder of today, with a maximum of 20 degrees and very little likelihood of rain. Winds will remain light throughout the day.
Tomorrow the temperature will slightly increase, with a sunny day expected. The minimum will be 7 degrees early in the morning, rising to a maximum of 21 degrees. Winds will start off northeasterly at 15 to 20 km/h before becoming lighter towards the middle of the day.
The weekend will continue with this sunny trend. On Saturday, temperatures will range from a minimum of 10 degrees to a maximum of 23 degrees with light winds, becoming north to northeasterly during the morning. Sunday will see a slight increase in temperature, ranging from 11 degrees to 24 degrees. Like Saturday, winds will be east to northeasterly and will turn east to southeasterly in the evening.
The start of next week will maintain mostly sunny conditions, with Monday and Tuesday seeing maximum temperatures of 24 degrees and 23 degrees, and minimums around the 10s degrees. By next Wednesday, the weather will return to partly cloudy conditions with temperatures cooling slightly to a maximum of 22 degrees.
There are active flood warnings for inland rivers in South Australia. The flood warning includes the areas around Kati Thanda-Lake Eyre, where flows from the Warburton River are arriving. These floodwaters may impact travel by cutting roads and access tracks, particularly at river crossings. Authorities advise those in affected areas to monitor weather forecasts and warnings closely.
While the marine wind warning for the Lower South East Coast has been cancelled, it is essential for those planning marine activities to check the latest forecasts before heading out.
