On Thursday, Adelaide is likely to witness temperatures peaking at 22 degrees with a high probability of morning and early afternoon showers. Winds will begin from the north to northwesterly direction at speeds of 20 to 30 km/h, shifting to westerly and increasing to 25 to 40 km/h towards late morning. Showers are expected to clear by the mid to late afternoon, giving way to mostly sunny skies.

The outlook for Friday shows a minor cooldown, with a minimum temperature of 13 degrees and a maximum of 21 degrees. A morning shower or two might occur with a 50% chance of rain. The skies will clear by the afternoon, offering mostly sunny weather. Wind conditions will remain strong, predominantly westerly at 25 to 40 km/h, turning southwesterly through the day and tapering off by the evening.

The weekend will see further improvements in weather. Saturday is projected to be partly cloudy with a slight chance of showers. The maximum temperature will reach up to 23 degrees with light winds that will pick up in the afternoon to 15 to 20 km/h. Sunday is expected to be warmer with a high of 27 degrees. Partly cloudy skies will persist, alongside a slight likelihood of rainfall. Winds on Sunday will start from the east to southeast direction, switching to southwesterly in the afternoon.

Across South Australia, a trough currently across the far north of the state is anticipated to clear by Thursday afternoon, followed by a couple of cold fronts later in the week. These weather patterns contribute to the varied forecast, including potential isolated showers and thunderstorms extending into the beginning of next week.

Strong wind warnings are in place for Thursday and Friday for several coastal areas including the Lower West Coast, Central Coast, South Central Coast, Spencer Gulf, Investigator Strait, Upper South East Coast and Lower South East Coast for today. Tomorrow the warning is in effect for Central Coast, South Central Coast, Spencer Gulf, Investigator Strait, Upper South East Coast and Lower South East Coast.

Looking further ahead, isolated showers and thunderstorms are predicted mainly across northern areas and southern coasts, with overall below-average temperatures persisting into the weekend. Rainfall until the end of Sunday is expected to be patchy with total amounts less than 5mm in most areas, although localized regions could experience up to 30mm due to thunderstorm activity.
