Good morning, Adelaide! Expect some morning fog today, but the weather will clear up to mostly sunny skies by midday. The city will reach a high of 16 degrees and drop to a low of 6 degrees.
In neighbouring towns, Naracoorte, Victor Harbor, and Coonawarra will also see highs of 16 degrees, while Mount Gambier, Nuriootpa, and Maitland will see slightly cooler tops of 15 degrees. Port Lincoln, Coffin Bay, and Cummins are in for a warmer day with tops of 17 degrees. Ceduna, Wudinna, and Roxby Downs will experience even warmer temperatures, reaching highs of 19 degrees, while Stirling will remain quite chilly with a top of 12 degrees.
BOM has issued a few warnings this morning, including a Strong Wind Warning that is in effect for the Lower South East Coast.
A Road Weather Alert has been issued for Adelaide, advising that fog will reduce visibility, making road conditions hazardous in the Adelaide Hills and northern suburbs. The SA Police recommends driving carefully by maintaining a safe distance, slowing down, and using headlights.
There is also a Frost Warning for the Mid North, Riverland, and Murraylands districts, where temperatures could drop to -1 degrees, leading to frost this morning.
Taking a look over to our friends interstate, Melbourne will experience partly cloudy skies with a high of 16 degrees. Sydney will enjoy mostly sunny weather with temperatures reaching a top of 18 degrees. Brisbane is expected to see a possible shower, but will stay warm with a high of 24 degrees. Perth will have showers developing throughout the day with a top of 21 degrees.
Looking ahead to the weekend, Adelaide will see plenty of sunshine! Saturday will be mostly sunny with a top of 18 degrees, followed by more sunny conditions on Sunday with a high of 21 degrees. Monday will continue the trend with mostly sunny skies and a top of 22 degrees.
