Adelaide is in for a rainy day with a top of of 18 degrees and a low of 13 degrees. Showers are expected to develop by late morning and continue through the afternoon, so make sure you take your umbrella with you!
In other parts of the state, Strathalbyn, Kingscote, and Mount Gambier will also see tops of 18 degrees. Keith, Bordertown, and Lameroo will be a bit warmer with tops around 20 degrees, while Stirling will be cooler with a high of 14 degrees.
A low-pressure system in The Bight is sending westerly winds over the southern part of the state, while a weak high-pressure area in the north is keeping things more stable there. On Wednesday, a cold front will pass through the south, and later in the week, expect some patchy clouds.
For today, expect showers mainly in the agricultural and southern pastoral regions, moving to the southern agricultural area by evening. Thunderstorms in the east will calm down in the morning, but may pick up again in the southeast in the afternoon. Temperatures will be above average, especially in the northeast. Winds will be fresh and from the north to northwest in the morning, shifting to westerly across the state, and then turning southwesterly in the evening.
BOM has issued has issued a Strong Wind Warning for the Far West Coast, Upper West Coast, Lower West Coast, Central Coast, South Central Coast, Spencer Gulf, Investigator Strait, and Lower South East Coast.
Looking around the country, Melbourne will see a couple of showers with a top of 19 degrees and a low of 11 degrees. Sydney will enjoy mostly sunny skies with a high of 22 degrees and a low of 10 degrees. Brisbane is also expecting a shower or two with a top of 23 degrees and a low of 14 degrees. And Perth will have a few showers with a high of 20 degrees and a low of 12 degrees.
Looking ahead to the weekend, Adelaide’s weather is shaping up to be a bit nicer. Saturday will be partly cloudy with a slight chance of a shower, reaching a warm 23 degrees with a low of 13 degrees. Sunday is amazingly going to reach a top of 25 degrees, though there’s a high chance of showers.
