Adelaide is set for a warm and mostly settled week, even as a slow-moving tropical low brings a few showers later in the week.
For the rest of Tuesday, Adelaide can expect partly cloudy skies and a top of 29 degrees. Winds will be southeasterly at 15 to 20 km/h, becoming light early before strengthening from the south to southeasterly at 25 to 40 km/h during the morning.
Tomorrow, Wednesday, will bring a minimum of 16 degrees and a maximum of 29 degrees under mostly sunny skies. Southeasterly winds will freshen to 30 to 45 km/h, but rainfall is not expected in the city, with just a 5 per cent chance forecast.
On Thursday, temperatures will climb slightly, reaching a maximum of 32 degrees after a morning low of 16 degrees. Partly cloudy conditions are expected, with southeasterly winds of 25 to 40 km/h easing to 15 to 20 km/h in the evening. The chance of rain remains low at 10 per cent.
Showers are forecast to develop on Friday as conditions begin to shift, with a top of 32 degrees. Wet weather is expected to continue into the weekend, with showers on Saturday and a possible shower or two on Sunday and Monday. Temperatures will hover between 29 and 32 degrees, with mild overnight minimums in the low 20s.
A tropical low pressure system centred over the southeast of the Northern Territory is extending a trough into the northeast of South Australia. The system is expected to remain near stationary until Friday before moving southwards over the weekend.
Strong Wind Warnings are in place today for Upper West Coast, Lower West Coast, Spencer Gulf and Gulf St Vincent. Tomorrow wind warnings are for Far West Coast, Upper West Coast, Lower West Coast, Central Coast, South Central Coast, Spencer Gulf, Gulf St Vincent, Investigator Strait, Upper South East Coast and Lower South East Coast.
