Adelaide weather forecast for Tuesday June 24th and the days ahead

South Australia will see chilly conditions over the next week, with rain and damaging winds forecast.

Adelaide and South Australia will see some woolly weather over the next few days, with the Bureau of Meteorology issuing multiple warnings and forecasts for the coming days. Today, Adelaide will experience a maximum temperature of only 14 degrees, accompanied by showers and strong winds. The city is expected to see a 100 per cent chance of rain, with between 9 and 25 mm of rainfall. Alongside showers, damaging winds and possible thunderstorms are forecasted for the morning and afternoon. Around the coast, there are expected to be abnormally high tides. Tomorrow, there is a 90 per cent chance of rain, with temperatures ranging from 9 degrees at its lowest to a maximum of 15 degrees. Winds are expected to be strong and gusty, initially from the west to southwesterly directions, calming by the late evening.

Thursday is predicted to have only a 20 per cent chance of showers and a continued cloudy sky. The conditions will be milder with light winds throughout the day. On Thursday, the low will be 7 degrees and the maximum will be 15 degrees.

This continues into Friday, with overcast conditions and slightly cooler temperatures forecasted from 7 degrees to 15 degrees, and similar weather extends over the weekend. Both Saturday and Sunday will witness partly cloudy skies with consistent daytime highs around 15 degrees and nighttime lows dipping to 5 degrees.

Across SA, current observations see a series of cold fronts affecting the region up to Wednesday, followed by a high-pressure system that will begin to stabilise the weather. In response to these severe conditions, warnings are in place for various regions.

A Warning to Sheep Graziers is active for the Mount Lofty Ranges, West Coast, Lower Eyre Peninsula, Yorke Peninsula, Kangaroo Island, Flinders, Mid North, Murraylands, Upper South East, and Lower South East forecast districts.

A comprehensive Marine Wind Warning is in effect, covering vast stretches of South Australian waters from Adelaide Metropolitan Waters to the Lower South East Coast with Gale Warnings for certain districts. Concerns extend to elevated streams and rivers, with a continuing Flood Warning for inland rivers including Warburton and Cooper Creek.
