As Adelaide steps into the later part of May, residents can look forward to a series of cool, clear days, although some showers appear on the horizon as the weekend approaches. According to the latest forecasts from the Bureau of Meteorology, the coming days will provide a mix of sunny skies and potential rainfall.
For today, the city of Adelaide can expect maximum temperatures to reach around 18 degrees with mainly sunny conditions prevailing throughout the day. As the week progresses, the temperatures will slightly fluctuate. On Wednesday and Thursday, the maximum temperature will hover around 19 degrees, with the days partly cloudy.
Transitioning into Friday, the skies are expected to clear up, promising mostly sunny weather with the same maximum of 19 degrees. However, the weekend forecast suggests a shift, with the chance of showers increasing. Saturday will see a high of 21 degrees with a potential ‘shower or two’ affecting the area. This rainy spell is expected to intensify by Sunday and continue into Monday, with consistent forecasts of showers and highs of 21 degrees and 20 degrees.
The Bureau of Meteorology has issued several weather warnings affecting various parts of South Australia. Sheep graziers in the Upper South East and Lower South East forecast districts should be cautious as cold temperatures during Tuesday morning pose a risk to livestock. Frost warnings are also in place for the Mid North, Riverland, Murraylands, Upper South East, and Lower South East districts, with temperatures predicted to drop as low as -3 degrees.
