The Bureau of Meteorology has issued wind warnings for today, Tuesday, 27 May in the following areas: a gale warning for the Upper South East Coast and Lower South East Coast and a strong wind warning for Adelaide Metropolitan Waters, Upper West Coast, Lower West Coast, Central Coast, South Central Coast, Spencer Gulf, Gulf St Vincent and Investigator Strait.

After a night of wild weather, Adelaide residents can expect a cool and occasionally damp end to May, as the latest forecasts issued by the Bureau of Meteorology suggest a varied weather pattern in the coming days. This week, the city will see maximum temperatures around the upper teens with intermittent showers, particularly experienced today.

Today, Adelaide faces a partly cloudy sky with showers, a possibility of rainfall between 1 to 5 mm, and a 60% chance of rain. The temperatures will peak at 18 degrees, accompanied by southwesterly winds at 25 to 35 km/h, turning southerly towards the late afternoon.

Looking ahead to Wednesday, the weather is expected to be partly cloudy with minimal chance of rain. The day will start with a mild 9 degrees, reaching up to 19 degrees. Winds will shift from light to southerly at 15 to 20 km/h in the morning and taper off in the evening.

Thursday continues the trend with similar temperatures. Starting at 9 degrees and climbing to a maximum of 20 degrees, it remains partly cloudy. The southerly breezes will pick up at 15 to 20 km/h during the morning.

As the week progresses, the pattern of partly cloudy skies and mild temperatures continues, with a slight decrease in temperature expected over the weekend. By Saturday, conditions will improve to mostly sunny, with a minimum of 7 degrees and a high of 19 degrees.

In terms of weather warnings, the Bureau of Meteorology has issued a Warning to Sheep Graziers for the Mount Lofty Ranges, Yorke Peninsula, and Mid North forecast districts. Cold temperatures, showers, and strong westerly winds are expected, which might pose a risk to livestock, particularly lambs and sheep exposed to these harsh conditions.

There are updated marine wind warnings for several coastal areas including the Adelaide Metropolitan Waters, with gale warnings for the Upper South East Coast and Lower South East Coast. These conditions highlight the need for caution among marine operators and enthusiasts.

There is also a Flood Warning for the inland rivers of South Australia, particularly affecting the Warburton River at Poothapoota Waterhole and Cooper Creek at Cullyamurra Waterhole. Elevated water levels suggest that flooding will persist in these regions, possibly affecting road access and crossings.
