Today, Adelaide will see temperatures climb to a maximum of 21 degrees, with a possible morning shower, according to the Bureau of Meteorology. Throughout the day, the city may face occasional rainfall of 0 to 1 mm with a 40 per cent chance of rain. The remainder of the day will largely be clear, with winds shifting from west to northwesterly in the early hours, then tending towards a lighter southwest to southerly direction by evening.
Looking ahead to Wednesday, Adelaide will experience warmer conditions with a peak temperature of 29 degrees and a minimum of 10 degrees under clear skies.
Thursday brings a shift with the weather, with the temperatures will range between 18 degrees and 28 degrees. There is a medium chance of showers and possibly a thunderstorm in the afternoon and evening.
The broader South Australian region will also see varied weather patterns over the next few days. A high pressure system currently over the Bight is expected to move eastwards, while two cold fronts will make their way across the region. The first, less intense front will pass through southern coastal areas early today, followed by a more substantial front around late Wednesday to Thursday. These movements are anticipated to bring showers and potential thunderstorms, particularly across the southern half of the state.
As we move into the weekend, another cold front will target southern parts of South Australia. This front will bring further showers and possibly extend thunderstorms across southern and western districts before clearing up by Friday. Over the weekend, the weather should remain mostly dry with isolated showers returning on Sunday.
Despite this, temperatures will continue to heat up, with some warmer weather later in the week.
