As we come out of the long weekend, Adelaide will see the return of the rain and cooler temperatures. According to the Bureau of Meteorology, showers will be seen across numerous parts of the state, with varying intensities expected over the coming days.
Today, the forecast is partly cloudy with a top of 19 degrees. There is a 20 per cent chance of rainfall, and a chance of fog about the hills early this morning. Light winds will become west to northwesterly 15 to 20 km/h in the morning, then become light in the late afternoon.
Tomorrow, it’s not much brighter, as showers are expected to increase throughout the day. The temperature will stay between a minimum of 11 degrees and a maximum of 20 degrees, with the likelihood of rain remaining at 70 per cent. Winds north to northwesterly 15 to 20 km/h, turning westerly 20 to 30 km/h in the late morning and early afternoon.
On Thursday, conditions are forecast to improve slightly with fewer showers. Temperatures are expected to range from 12 degrees in the early morning to a peak of 20 degrees. The chance of rain remains at 70 per cent, with most showers anticipated in the morning and afternoon.
Looking ahead, the rain continues. Friday will see a maximum of 20 degrees with an 80 per cent chance of showers. Saturday and Sunday will again be rainy with respective maximum temperatures of 19 degrees and 18 degrees.
A Strong Wind Warning is in place today for the Lower South East Coast. Tomorrow, the warning will extend to the Lower West Coast, Central Coast, South Central Coast, Investigator Strait, Upper South East Coast and Lower South East Coast.
