The Bureau of Meteorology predicts mixed weather conditions throughout the rest of this week. Today, Adelaide will see clear skies, a high of 32 degrees, and light winds shifting from northwest to northeasterly, becoming lighter later in the afternoon.
Looking ahead to Thursday, conditions will become partly cloudy with temperatures ranging from a mild 17 degrees in the morning to a pleasant 27 degrees by the afternoon. Winds will shift from northwest to southwest throughout the day. Meanwhile, the temperature will slightly increase on Friday, with a high of 28 degrees after a cool start at 15 degrees. The day will start partly cloudy with a slight chance of showers by evening.
The long weekend will see a shift in the conditions, with showers on Saturday and temperatures peaking at 26 degrees after starting at 18 degrees. On Sunday, shower activity will continue, though it will be cooler with a high of only 20 degrees.
The following Monday and Tuesday will continue the trend of cooler weather and possible showers. Highs will hover around the low twenties with cloudy skies.
Significant flooding has also been a concern in the region. The Bureau of Meteorology issued a flood warning for inland rivers, including significant flooding occurring at Innamincka. The warning details elevated river levels along the Cooper Creek and the arrival of floodwaters along the Diamantina River in South Australia. Residents in affected areas are advised to monitor conditions and heed all related safety advice.
The broader South Australian forecast indicates that a high-pressure system over the Tasman Sea will sustain stable conditions over eastern regions for the next few days. However, a trough of low pressure from the west is anticipated to bring varied weather, including potential showers, over the weekend.
