Over the coming days, Adelaide can expect steady weather conditions. Today, the city will experience a max temperature of 20 degrees with mostly sunny skies, and there’s a minimal chance of rain at only 5 per cent. Tomorrow, the forecast sees minimal change with temperatures ranging from 9 degrees overnight to a daytime high of 21 degrees with mostly sunny conditions.
The much welcome sunny weather continues into Friday, with the temperature climbing slightly higher to a maximum of 23 degrees. While the clear skies are an invitation to head outdoors, light winds in the evening could bring a slight chill.
Saturday and Sunday will see temperatures ranging between 12 degrees to 26 degrees, with mostly sunny skies. The new week starts on a bright note as well, with Monday seeing mostly sunny conditions and temperatures hovering between 16 degrees at dawn and peaking at a warm 27 degrees.
However, Tuesday will see a slight change, as the forecast suggests a chance of a shower or two and a maximum temperature of 26 degrees.
Statewide, South Australia is experiencing a broad stability in weather patterns due to a high-pressure system situated south of the Bight extending a ridge across the south and western parts. This system is expected to move eastwards towards the Tasman Sea by the end of the week.
The Bureau of Meteorology has also issued a flood warning for the inland rivers of South Australia including significant points such as Coongie Lakes, Walkers Crossing, and Poothapoota Waterhole. Creek levels along Cooper Creek at these locations peaked last week and are now slowly declining. At Poothapoota Waterhole, however, water levels remain high and are expected to stay elevated for an extended period. This situation demands caution as floodwaters may disrupt road access and river crossings, potentially affecting travel across the region.
