Good morning, Adelaide! We’re looking at a partly cloudy day with a high of 17 degrees and a low of 13 degrees. Showers are possible, but they’re expected to become less likely as the afternoon progresses.
Across South Australia, expect a bit of wind. In Victor Harbor, Strathalbyn, and Maitland, temperatures will reach around 17 degrees. The Lower South East district will be a touch cooler, staying under 17 degrees. Meanwhile, Port Augusta will warm up to 23 degrees, and Roxby Downs will enjoy a nice top of 25 degrees.
BOM has issued a Gale Warning for the South Central Coast, Upper South East Coast, and Lower South East Coast. A Strong Wind Warning is in place for the Lower West Coast, Central Coast, and Investigator Strait.
Sheep graziers should be aware of cold temperatures and strong westerly winds expected on Wednesday morning, particularly affecting parts of the Lower South East. There is a risk of losses among lambs and sheep exposed to these harsh conditions.
Damaging winds averaging 60 to 70 km/h, with gusts reaching around 90 km/h, are possible in the Mount Lofty Ranges and southeastern parts of the state. Winds are expected to ease below severe thresholds by late afternoon. Areas like Mount Gambier, Naracoorte, Burra, Robe, Millicent, and Lucindale might be impacted.
The severe weather warnings for the Adelaide Metropolitan and Kangaroo Island districts have been cancelled, so conditions are improving there.
Across the country, Melbourne will see a shower or two with a high of 17 degrees and a low of 13 degrees.Sydney will be mostly sunny with some wind, reaching 28 degrees and dipping to 16 degrees.Perth is expected to be cooler with a possible late shower, a high of 21 degrees, and a low of 9 degrees. Brisbane will have morning fog, but then sunshine will bring a warm 31 degrees high and a low of 16 degrees.
Looking ahead, the rest of the week is expected to be a bit cloudy and rainy in Adelaide leading up to the first day of spring on Sunday. The weekend forecast currently suggests highs of 18 degrees for Saturday and 19 degrees for Sunday, but keep an eye on any updates.
