According to the Bureau of Meteorology, Adelaide can expect a top of 31 degrees with partly cloudy conditions today with a slight chance of a shower and a possibility of a thunderstorm early this evening. The temperatures are mild, with light southwesterly winds of 15 to 20 km/h decreasing later tonight.
The weather will continue to improve on Thursday, being mostly sunny throughout the day. It will start off cool at a minimum of 16 degrees and is expected to reach a maximum of 32 degrees as the day progresses. Light winds from the east to southeasterly direction at 15 to 20 km/h will prevail, tending southeast to southwesterly during the early afternoon before reverting in the evening.
Friday will see a significant rise in temperatures, as a sunny day pushes the thermometer to 37 degrees after a start at 18 degrees. This precedes a weekend of mixed conditions starting on Saturday with partly cloudy skies and temperatures ranging from 25 degrees to 38 degrees. Sunday could bring a couple of showers with much cooler conditions as temperatures are expected to drop to a maximum of 27 degrees after starting at 21 degrees.
In addition to the daily weather forecast, South Australia is currently under a severe heatwave warning as issued by the Bureau of Meteorology. This warning impacts the Lower South East, West Coast, and North West Pastoral Districts.
