Adelaide can expect a mix of cloud, sunshine, and occasional showers over the next few days, according to the latest updates from the Bureau of Meteorology.
Today, Adelaide will see partly cloudy skies with a maximum temperature of 21 degrees. There’s a slight chance of light showers which are likely due to a shift from southerly to southeasterly winds in the evening. The weather for Thursday also remains partly cloudy with a minimum of 9 degrees and a maximum of 20 degrees. Showers might occur, particularly around the hills and southern suburbs.
As for Friday, temperatures will slightly drop with a forecast minimum of 9 degrees and a maximum of 19 degrees. The day is expected to bring a few showers, probably in the afternoon and evening. Light winds in the morning will shift to a southwesterly direction by afternoon.
The trend of showers continues into Saturday, with minimum temperatures sitting at 10 degrees and maximum temperatures at 18 degrees. The skies will clear up by Sunday, with a mostly sunny day and a decrease in temperature, leading to a cooler 17 degrees.
Looking forward to the start of next week, sunny conditions are expected to continue into Monday and Tuesday, with temperatures gradually climbing from 18 degrees to a maximum of 19 degrees.
The Bureau has issued flood warnings for several areas within South Australia due to elevated river levels and continuing flow into northern parts of Kati Thanda-Lake Eyre from the Warburton River and along Cooper Creek at Walkers Crossing and Coongie Lakes. Travel might be impacted as floodwaters may cut roads and access tracks. Residents and travellers in the affected areas, particularly along Eyre Creek and the Diamantina River in Queensland, are advised to stay updated on weather forecasts and warnings and follow safety directives from local authorities.
In the wider South Australian region, a high-pressure system is causing isolated showers around coastal districts and areas of morning fog in agricultural zones. By Saturday, the high-pressure centre will position itself south of the Bight, continuing to influence weather patterns across the state.
