Adelaide weather forecast for Wednesday November 12th and the days ahead

As we head toward the weekend, Adelaide can expect a mix bag of weather conditions.

This week, the weather patterns in Adelaide continue to display a mix of sunny days and expected showers. According to the Bureau of Meteorology, Adelaide’s residents can anticipate changing conditions over the next few days.

Starting with today, Adelaide will enjoy a clear, sunny day with a peak temperature of 24°C. Light winds will blow from the west to northwest in the early afternoon, calming by evening. This tranquillity provides an ideal scenario for outdoor activities.

Looking ahead to Thursday, 13 November, the weather will turn slightly, with minimum temperatures dropping to 14°C and reaching a maximum of 23°C. This day will see a shower or two, especially likely during the morning and afternoon. These conditions are attributed to a broader weather pattern influenced by an eastward-moving high-pressure system near Adelaide and a developing low-pressure trough over the state’s western parts.

By Friday, 14 November, the weather will continue in a similar vein with temperatures ranging from a low of 13°C to a high of 24°C. Friday carries the possibility of a storm, particularly in the morning and afternoon, while showers are again probable. Hopefully the rain stays to a minimum though as the Beach Volleyball World Championships kick off on Friday at The Drive, with a big outdoor set up on Pinky Flat with food trucks, bars, beach volleyball matches, music and more.

The forecast for the weekend shows an increased chance of showers. Saturday, 15 November will see temperatures between 12°C and 22°C, with a possible shower. Sunday will bring more consistent rain, with temperatures slightly cooler, ranging from 13°C to 20°C.

The state of South Australia, looking broadly, will experience varying weather across different regions, from isolated showers and mild temperatures in southern parts to possible severe thunderstorms with heavy rainfall and potential damaging winds in the far northwest. Adelaide’s nearer regions are set for modest rainfall, with cumulative totals by the end of Saturday generally remaining below 5mm, although this could increase with any storm activity.

There has been a cancellation of the frost warning that was previously in place for areas including the Mid North, Riverland, Murraylands, and Upper South East forecast districts. Ground temperatures may still drop significantly below recorded figures, especially under calm and clear conditions, but no further warnings will be issued.
