Adelaide can expect a warm and mostly sunny week ahead as outlined in the latest forecast from the Australian Bureau of Meteorology.
Today, Adelaide will experience sunny skies with a maximum temperature of 32 degrees. Southeast winds will blow at speeds of 25 to 35 km/h. The remainder of the week appears generally favourable, with mostly sunny conditions forecasted. On Thursday, temperatures will range from 16 degrees to 31 degrees. The wind is expected to decrease in the afternoon, creating a cooler and more comfortable environment.
The warmth will continue into Friday, with the mercury likely to hit 33 degrees. Winds will shift throughout the day, starting east to southeasterly before switching to southeast to southwesterly during the afternoon. This variation in wind direction is typical as we transition deeper into autumn, affecting both sea breezes and coastal temperatures.
Over the weekend, temperatures will cool slightly. Saturday predicts a maximum of 30 degrees, while Sunday cools further to a high of 27 degrees. Both days will maintain the mostly sunny conditions that define this week’s weather character. As we move into the next week, the skies will become partly cloudy on Monday, with temperatures holding steady at around 27 degrees. Tuesday welcomes April with a clear sunny day, topping out at 25 degrees.
The South Australian region, more broadly, will experience varied conditions. The northeast will see isolated showers and possible thunderstorms, particularly in the far northeast. The weather across other parts will remain dry, with maximum temperatures hovering below average in the north but above average in the south due to a slow-moving ridge of high pressure.
A marine wind warning has been issued for today for several coastal areas including the Upper West Coast, Spencer Gulf, Investigator Strait, and Upper South East Coast. Those in or travelling to these areas are advised to monitor local weather updates and take necessary precautions.
Adelaideans can look forward to a predominantly sunny and warm week ahead, with slight variations in temperature and wind patterns. The mild conditions provide an excellent opportunity to enjoy the outdoors before the cooler days set in.
