Adelaide’s winter weekend gatherings have been extended

If you find yourself walking the streets of the city or North Adelaide, head to these spots to catch some local live music, fire-pits and even fire twirlers.

Throughout August (and now September), six different locations in the city and North Adelaide are ready to welcome you back and warm your heart (and hands) thanks to City of Adelaide’s Winter Weekends, supported by the Government of South Australia.

If you find yourself walking the streets of the city or North Adelaide, make your way to Vardon Avenue, Hutt Street, Gilbert Place, Leigh Street, Melbourne Street, or O’Connell Street and catch some local live music, fire-pits and even fire twirlers.

Winter Weekends will be kicking on from 5pm ’til late, so as you travel to and from dinner, or if you’re keen for a spot to enjoy a drink while you listen to live music, there’s plenty of time to experience the warmth.

While you’re warming your hands by the fire, you’ll be listening to tunes from some pretty stellar established and emerging local artists. The line-up is announced online prior to the weekend, but to give you a good idea of what to expect, past performers have included Laura Hill, Ben Finniss Trio, Sam Brittain, The Bel Duo, Madz Winter Music, and Stefan Hauk.

So, head to these locations before or after grabbing a city bite, get a few drinks, warm up, and listen to some of the city’s best local artists.

Winter Weekends will run on Friday and Saturday nights, until 5 september, 5pm ’til late.

Keep up to date with the latest news on Winter Weekends on the City of Adelaide website.
