Get ready to explore some of the most iconic South Australian wines at the inaugural Adelaide Wine Festival, this June!

Located in the Adelaide Central Markets, you will be able to sample products and wines from the best our beautiful state has to offer while learning from the makers directly.

Blossoming from The Olive Tree Food & Wine, a beloved stall in the Adelaide Central Markets, the Adelaide Wine Festival has had a humble journey to reach its potential.

Owner of the Olive Tree, and event coordinator, Paul Bratovic, originally thought of the event in 2020 before having to put it on the back burner.

“I have a close relationship with local and interstate wineries, and the idea for the festival came pre-covid. It took a bit of time and work but ended up getting closer, and we thought we’d retry the idea,” he said.

Paul has spent 25 years in the market and thought there ought to be a festival to showcase and support the local industry.

“Drawing from our experience at The Olive Tree, the festival embodies our dedication to excellence, showcasing the best of South Australia’s winemaking talent. It’s an extension of our commitment to enrich, delight, and inspire the community, continuing the legacy of The Olive Tree in every glass poured.”

Some of the wineries that will be available on the day include; St Hugo, Bent Creek, d’Arenberg, Golding, Mitolo, Pikes Wines, just to name a few.

The festival will be set up to create an interactive experience for festivalgoers, and aside from fantastic South Australian wine that is sure to be in abundance, live music, comedians, food from market vendors, and entertainment will be available for all ages.

Whether you’re grabbing a slice of pizza from Lucias, some tapas from Cumbia, yummy seafood from SiSea or a sweety treaty from Providore, there well be something for everyone!

The event will be set up around the perimeter of the market, enabling an experience for attendees to soak in the venue’s rich history. As one of the biggest tourist attractions in the state, Paul and his team feel the support from the market and the local council and are excited to share their home base with the South Australian wine industry.
