The full report touches on the impact COVID related lockdowns have had on cities around the globe. The index acknowledges the decline in rankings of many cities across Europe including top place holder from 2018-20, Vienna, slipping to 12th place this year.
While our neighbouring cities like Melbourne have been feeling the impact of COVID related lockdowns, they were still able to make the top ten list ranking number eight, with Brisbane close behind at nine and Perth coming in fourth.
Although an incredible win for Adelaide, Australia saw four cities in total in the top ten of the recent index, marking an incredible occasion for the country.
Coming in first in the index was Auckland, New Zealand, with Osaka, Japan following closely in second.
