This is one of Adelaide’s coolest winter events during the school holidays—with thrill rides, sweet treats, sideshow games and more, the Adelaide Winter Carnival is bringing serious fun to the Torrens Parade Ground until 13 July.
This winter wonderland meets carnival is perfect for families looking to make the most of the school holidays. Whether you’re a daredevil or a donut devotee, there’s something here to warm every heart (and stomach).

The ride line-up is really cool, with the Safari Coaster, Trippa, bungee trampolines, and the soaring Waveswinger, there’s fun for everyone. Little adventurers will love the Bluey Fun House, while older thrill-seekers can buckle in for the Top Gun experience.
No carnival is complete without classic sideshow games, glittering prizes, and the scent of fairy floss and hot cinnamon donuts wafting through the air. Add in a huge spread of showbags stuffed with treats and toys, and you’ve got the recipe for an unforgettable family afternoon/evening out.
With $2 entry and all-day access to the event site, it’s one of the most budget-friendly family outings in town.
Whether it’s your first ride on Adelaide’s newest Ferris Wheel a thrilling ride on the coaster or your fifth cinnamon donut (no judgement), Adelaide Winter Carnival is delivering winter school holiday fun by the truckload.
