Adelaide Women Launch Sanitary Product Company – 100% Profits to Worldwide Menstrual Projects

TABOO is launching their Adelaide based sanitary product company that donates 100% of profits to menstrual education and products in developing countries.

TABOO Sanitary Products are having a product launch party August 22 all for an incredible cause.

Company founders, Eloise Hall and Isobel Marshall kick-started their company and their mission back in 2016 (whilst still in high school) to sell 100% organic cotton pads and tampons to Australians.

The amazing part about this is that 100% of their net profit goes to menstrual health projects around the world.

Menstrual cycles are considered to be ‘taboo’ in many developing countries and girls in these communities often do not have access to the appropriate or affordable sanitary products or even menstrual health education.

Girls in these countries can miss out on the important aspects of day to day life such as not being able to attend school for up to a week per month.

A year after starting TABOO, the women won both the Fish Tank competition and Start up Weekend Adelaide.

This allowed them to successfully host a crowdfunding campaign and raised an incredible $56,000 which paid for their first batch of TABOO branded organic sanitary products to sell right here in Australia.

Now after two and a half years in the making, the organic pads and tampons are ready to be sold and celebrations are definitely in order.

The launch promises delicious food and drinks, as well as live performances and a dance floor.

Get tickets to the event here or visit TABOO for more details on the Adelaide business.

Where: MOD on North Terrace adjacent Morphett Street bridge, Adelaide, SA 5000.

When: Thursday, 22 August 6:00pm – 10:30pm.
