After seeing a gap in the networking and professional education market for health professionals, two Adelaide Remedial Therapists & business owners, Bodyline Health International & Hand2Body Massage, have devised a concept to bring allied health professionals together.
The concept is a non-membership group providing networking, education and inspiration for all health professionals who are employed in the health industry or who own their own business.
“I have been working in the health industry for several years,” says co-developer Holly Hicks “and it can be an isolating industry. We work odd hours and often on our own. There’s a real need to connect with other like-minded peers for support and to share knowledge.”
Coinciding with National Massage Week (18th- 26th September, 2010), Anna Morgan, Podiatrist and founder of successful Podantics Podiatry, will be our special guest speaker to help launch the first event, which will be
When: Tuesday September 28th 2010, 6:30pm – 8:30pm
Where: Fedora’s Restaurant, 264 South Road (Cnr Sir Donald Bradman Drive & South Road), Hilton
Co-developer Kylie Bradley says “Co-ordinating in-service type training with other health professionals can be difficult and ongoing training can be very costly, especially if travelling interstate. Our concept provides a relaxed, low cost yet invaluable opportunity to connect and learn from health professionals from all backgrounds.”
The concept is run by health professionals for health professionals. Using resources including online forums such as Facebook, Twitter and regular networking events with special guest speakers, we aim to educate, inspire and bring health professionals together.
