Adelaide’s Double Shot Coffee Festival Is On This Weekend

Beat the daily grind with a festival that’s dedicated entirely to your caffeine addiction.

This Sunday, the City of Unley is running their fourth Double Shot Coffee Fiesta at Soldiers Memorial Gardens on Unley Road.

Boasting more than 100 cafes in the area – many of which are along the main stretches of Unley, King William and Goodwood Road – you can count on the city of Unley to know good coffee! With coffee blends and gourmet food from all over the world, the Fiesta has quickly become one of the most popular events on the South Australian festival circuit.

Escape the daily grind (pardon the pun) and relax with friends and family while sipping on a refreshing cold brew, delicious warm coffee or an espresso martini (or two).

Here’s the run down…

Monastery Coffee Baristas & Blends are hosting a 30 minute interactive workshop to show us where their coffee comes from and how to make the best brew (needed).

Across the road in the Unley Town Hall, SA and WA’s top baristas will battle it out at the
Australian Specialty Coffee Association’s Western Region Championships – which include barista, latte art, brewing and cup tasting contests

Also at the Town Hall, the latest inclusion to the event…Latte Art Smackdown competition (the best latte art in one room? We think yes). Pretty much, 10 baristas from local cafes will be encouraged to battle it out on stage across three rounds, competing for a trophy and title of Double Shot’s Barista Legend.
After, five members from the audience will be invited to give it a crack for a chance to win return flights, accommodation and tickets for two people to attend the Melbourne International Coffee Expo. We’re practicing already…

When: Sunday, November 5, 10am to 4pm
Where: Soldiers Memorial Gardens, Unley Road, Unley
