One of Adelaide’s most exclusive shopping strips, King William Road, Hyde Park is gearing up for Adelaide’s favourite long lunch – Variety on King William on Friday, 17 October 2014 (12 – 3.30pm) and tickets are selling fast!

The first event on the Adelaide Fashion Festival program will see some of the hottest trends supplied by more than 20 fashion, shoe and jewellery stores on the road.

The sublime food and wine, a major draw card over the last two years, will excite again this year. The four course menu oozing spring flavours will be created by Ichitaro Dining, Bottega Rotolo, Faraja, Parisi’s, By Blackbird and Mulot’s Patisserie with each course matched with fine SA wines from Wicks Estate, Fox Gordon, Tomich and Totino Estate.

John Karran, Chairman of the King William Road Traders association said that this year’s event will build on the success of the past two years.

“This is a unique event that we are proud to put our name to. It is a luxurious and innovative platform to showcase the best of the road. In today’s retail climate, you have to think outside the square and we think this event sets us apart from the rest,” he said.

Tickets cost $140 or $1400 for a table of 10. Tickets can be purchased via www.kingwilliamroad.com.au and the event proudly supports Variety SA – the Children’s Charity.

If you can’t make the lunch, you can still get involved! See all the highlights from one of your favourite cafes or restaurants, or just take a stroll along the footpath and soak up all the atmosphere. The runway show starts at 2pm! Or join us for a drink at one of the many after parties along the road, starting at 4pm.

If you miss the show, all the highlights will be posted on the King William Road Facebook page that night, including every look from the runway show.

Variety on King William supports the local fashion industry, and as such has partnered with The Adelaide Fashion Festival, hosted by the City of Norwood, Payneham & St Peters and The Parade, Norwood.

Events like this couldn’t happen without the princely support of some very generous Adelaide businesses.

Principal partners include: The City of Unley, Peugeot, Fotobase, Atmosphere Events, Renniks and Antony Snape.

Variety on King William joins other great events on the road’s festive calendar such as the Unley Gourmet Gala and the Tour Down Under.
