Laneway Container Bar Warms Up Winter

Laneway-1 copyAdelaide’s newest addition to the bar scene, Laneway, opened earlier this year and is fast becoming a popular venue for casual drinks and munchies in a relaxed, understated environment.

Taking over the vacant spot on Hindley Street, Laneway is based around a shipping container bar which offers a select menu of boutique ciders, beers, and cocktails; bringing a quirky touch to the buzz of the Hindley Street scene.

Antony Tropeano; Owner of Laneway Bar and Managing Director of Tropcorp, is the brain behind bringing Adelaide its first shipping container bar.

Laneway-2 copy“Laneway is Adelaide’s only shipping container bar with a modern twist. Offering a unique, urban experience in the heart of the Adelaide CBD, Laneway presents an alternative place for social gatherings,” says Antony Tropeano.

“As well as having a diverse tea-based cocktail list including hot teapots and shake and pours, we are proud to say that we have Adelaide’s best toasties! A favourite winter warmer for most people, you can’t go past a classic cheese toasty,” says Antony Tropeano.

The distinctive architecture has been designed by Terence Feltus, and reflects an eccentric, alternative feel, ensuring all aspects are unique to the Adelaide market. The artwork featured on the container bar is based on lyrics from the Beatles’ Penny Lane song, with the remaining imagery being an interpretation of the lyrics done by a local graffiti artist.
