Calling all manicure and pedicure aficionados! MediPedi Nail Spa are opening a new store on The Parade and we couldn’t be more pumped. Planned to be opened at the end of July, they’ve found the perfect location to open their second store. We’re always wary of getting manicures and pedicures done; you hear so many horror stories about nail salons giving people gross diseases that you can never know if that place down the road is trustworthy. With MediPedi though, you can finally relax in the knowledge that you’re being professionally cared for.
Graduating in 2000 from The University of South Australia with a Bachelor of Podiatry, founders Georgina Jamieson and Tom Baker know feet. After founding Podiatry First in 2002 and co-founding Podiatry First Sports in Adelaide, they became very passionate about providing high-end foot care. They realised the need for a dedicated hand and nail salon that merges the medical aspects of podiatry and the finishing touches of the beauty industry.
As Adelaide’s first Medical Nail Spa, they are able to offer the speciality service they call The Medical Pedicure. Don’t worry, it’s not as intense as it sounds. You begin with their Podiatrist, who expertly treats any foot ailments you have – from corns to cracked heels and ingrown toenails. Next, you move to the Nail Therapist who massages, shapes and polishes your nails to perfection. Far more intensive than other pedicure services in Adelaide, you can also claim the podiatry portion of this service on your health fund – score!
They’ve got Adelaide design firm, Arketype, on board again after designing their King William Road store. With a similar look to their previous store, The Parade store will feature MediPedi’s signature long manicure table with a gorgeous feature copper structure hanging above. Though, this spa is bigger, so they’ve been able to custom design Pedicure benches and will now have two podiatry rooms.
All of their products are specially chosen by the people who know what your feet need, and best of all, they’re cruelty-free, so you can rest assured that no animals were hurt for you to have your nails done. You’ll never have to skip wearing those strappy heels again, because your feet will look the best they’ve ever looked after your first treatment. MediPedi Nail Spa are practically the nail gods – they know what they’re doing.
