The Thrift Shop Bar is excited to announce the launch of its own handmade small batch Thrift Shop “Quandong Gin” which has been created in partnership with the esteemed Jon Lark from Kangaroo Island Spirits.
The Thrift Shop team were delighted to be invited to the KIS (Kangaroo Island Spirits) Distillery on the beautiful Kangaroo Island in November to work with Jon on the bespoke recipe and distillation of our unique Thrift Shop Quandong Gin. A neutral spirit was infused with the Australian native Quandong (often referred to as the Australian native peach) before being distilled in a small copper pot still and blended with an array of botanicals including the uplifting native lemon myrtle, essential juniper and a touch of pepper for warmth.
The Quandong Gin is available for take away and trade sales from the Thrift Shop Bar as well as being tailored into a medley of mixed drinks and perfect serves including our exclusive Quandong Negroni.
The Thrift Shop Quandong Gin will be officially launched to the public on the 3rd February at their VIP launch party – showcasing the gin in its elements paired with ginspired nibbles.
The Thrift Shop Bar, located on Waymouth Place Adelaide, is dedicated to showcasing the best of Australian produce. Boasting an all-Australian spirit list, crafted cocktails and a revolving cellar door concept – showcasing local up & coming wine, beer & cider producers.
Opening Hours: Wednesday to Saturday 4.30pm-Late.
