It’s already been a year since we welcomed the ever-spectacular Station Road to the Adelaide dining scene. As they pass this very exciting milestone, celebrations are in order, and they’re looking to be as full of flavour and effortlessly cool as the venue itself.

To ring in their second year in business, Station Road has kicked off its brand-new Friday afternoon activation, Friday Knock Offs. Each Friday, Festival Plaza will be transformed with a weekly after-work event where locals can kick back, relax and ease into the weekend. From 4pm until late every Friday through to the end of December, the plaza will come alive with outside bars, rotating line-up DJs, live music, food stations and good vibes.

Co-owner Mathieu Smeysters shared that the first year of Station Road has been one of experimentation and fun. “We’ve pushed to be innovative, teaming up with a few of Adelaide’s top chefs and collaborating on special events like Beauty and the Beast at the Adelaide Festival Centre. The year has gone by quickly, and we’re excited to see what year two holds.”

And the fun really is just getting started. Friday Knock Offs will dial up the after-work ritual with a Happy Hour from 5pm to 6pm, complete with spritz specials and Bone Dry Rosé from CW Wines. Beverage partners Mismatch Brewing, The Hills Cider Company, 78 Degrees Distillery and Fever Tree will keep the drinks flowing and the good times going.

Station Road has also unveiled a new seasonal menu just in time for the festivities. Snacks like yellowfin tuna tart with spiced labneh and lime, or nori-wrapped beef tartare. Starters will include the limited-edition shallot tarte tatin with crème fraîche, alongside dishes like kingfish ceviche, beef carpaccio or quail ballotine. Mains stretch from grilled spatchcock with celeriac and guindilla peppers to whole crumbed market fish with sumac and herbs. And for dessert, a chocolate tart with cardamom ice cream, banana parfait, or the famed Paris Brest.

Set Christmas Eve and New Year’s Eve packages have also dropped, giving you a chance to celebrate the festive season and round out the year in total style. Christmas Eve offers four festive courses for $89, while New Year’s Eve delivers a luxurious five-course feast for $179 with two sittings. Guests can expect lobster, wagyu, white asparagus, and more, with dessert served outdoors and complimentary champagne to toast Adelaide’s fireworks.
