It’s back! Woodville Town Hall’s music series Foyer Fridays returns with an incredible line-up of local acts that you can watch live at the Town Hall or from the comfort of your own home.

Live or livestreamed? It’s your choice.

Watch some of South Australia’s most exciting and acclaimed live acts – including MANE, Charli Umami and Nancy Bates – as part of an intimate audience at Woodville Town Hall or you can enjoy the gigs at home via a livestream.

Foyer Fridays return on Friday 24 July, to offer us a unique opportunity to catch local artists at the top of their game in intimate mode.

As we ease out of COVID-19 restrictions, each performance will be capped to just 60 audience members in Woodville Town Hall’s charming 1920s foyer.

For those who miss out, they will be live-streamed via registration.

“We continue to be committed to supporting live music in our community,” City of Charles Sturt’s Mayor Angela Evans said.

“This includes our local artists who have been severely impacted by COVID-19 and will be for the foreseeable future. Foyer Fridays is a fantastic opportunity to showcase our local artists and musicians, re-open our doors to the Woodville Town Hall and bring life and energy back to our community.”

The free music event premieres on Friday 24 July with an exciting double bill thanks to the haunting lush pop of MANE and the smooth soul, funk and R&B of Leni.

“I’m really excited to be playing in front of a live audience again,” MANE said.

“Particularly being able to play a bunch of new material in a stripped-back setting, there’s been a lot of new music written over the last year that I can’t wait to play.”

Brought to you by the Woodville Town Hall and The City of Charles Sturt with special thanks to the Music Development Office (MDO), the monthly music series continues on Friday 21 August with the future soul of Charli Umami, the roots and blues of Corey Theatre and the folk and soul of Hannah Yates.

The series will close on Friday 18 September with the acclaimed singer/songwriter Nancy Bates (performing with Annie Siegmann and Ryan Martin John), Paul MacLeod and Katie Aspel.

It’s first in, best dressed to be part of the live audience for one of these special gigs (doors open at 5pm), and, if people can’t make it, they can register for the livestream here.
