Living as a millennial in Adelaide, have you ever heard one of your pals say that we have one of the best cities in the world? It’s not something that is commonly thrown around a lot in conversation at the bar or on coffee dates! Well, the verdict is out and Adelaide has been ranked as one of the best cities in the world for millennials! I mean who can blame us, we are pretty great.
Nestpick conducted this research which featured the best cities in the world for millennials, and unsurprisingly all of Australia’s main cities have scored a spot! Typically Sydney and Melbourne scored the higher rankings on Adelaide, but we are still sitting pretty in the middle of the rankings (rank 50) – a win for the little guys! Brisbane and Perth still pop in to say g’day and feature on the lower half of the list!
The research took into consideration all of the most important aspects on living as a millennial – so naturally a nightlife, beer and festival ranking were all included which it’s safe to say, we think we do pretty well at and now the research confirms it! Although there is always room for improvement Adelaide has scored themselves pretty mid range!
Other than our usual weekend antics, our futures are pretty well set out for us too. As much as we despise the uni grind our universities and education have also scored smack bang on the middle mark along with the most important thing to us… FOOD – we all get in on that treat yourself snacking!
Onto the more serious essentials like having a roof over our heads we are also pretty lucky in having access to housing, where we scored just under half out of the 100 cities included in the research. We are all a pretty healthy group of millennials with and endless amount of health services available to us, so it’s only fitting that our health services score is above average!!!
Overall, we are all pretty fun-loving and accepting clan of people, meaning the research has showed that we are top end in accepting our LGBT fam, immigrants, freedom and gender equality!!
