Ciao to all you lovers of Italian food, wine, and culture. Adelaide’s Italian Festival is returning and you’re invited to join the fun!

Get ready for 10 days of all things Italian with the return of the enormously popular Adelaide Italian Festival. With a spicy lineup of events, this immersive celebration of Italy’s rich heritage and contemporary culture promises to be bigger and better than ever.

On Friday, 1 November, a massive opening night party will take over the Adelaide Festival Plaza, igniting a dynamic and eclectic lineup of Signature Events.

Andrew Daniels, Chair of the Adelaide Festival Plaza shared his delight over the Plaza’s partnership with the Adelaide Italian Festival

“We are thrilled to be hosting the opening night party for the first-time ever, increasing the event’s size so that thousands more people can soak up the atmosphere and enjoy Italian food, wine, culture and music

Adelaide Italian Festival chairperson, Tania Milohis, elaborated on the significance of this partnership:

“This year, we’ve blended the symbolism of Italian culture with beloved South Australian landmarks, creating a truly unique visual representation. We are also excited to announce the Adelaide Festival Plaza, as the newest event destination.”

“The South Australian community should get ready to immerse themselves in the sounds and flavours of the region, with local Italian DJs keeping the energy high and local Italian community clubs and
associations and vendors offering delectable Italian food and drinks.”

From day one to ten, a diverse line-up of signature events will continue to spark the fire of passion for Bella Italia:

  • Autoclassica: where a stunning collection of vintage and modern Italian cars and bikes
will be on display at this captivating exhibition.
  • Journey Mass at the Cathedral: honouring Italian heritage with a religious ceremony
celebrating the journey of Italian migrants to Australia.
  • La Grande Gita: an exciting bike ride through the breathtaking Barossa Valley where you
will enjoy the scenery, explore local wineries, and indulge in a delightful family picnic.

The Adelaide Italian Festival not only celebrates Italian culture but also encourages Individuals and organisations from across South Australia to host events showcasing the finest of Italian food, wine, arts, culture, heritage, fashion, cars, and technology.

The festival’s open-access model is designed to inspire young people to connect with their Italian roots while offering the wider community an opportunity to experience the contemporary Italian way of life.
