Adelaide’s legendary Rise Nightclub return cancelled due to restrictions

Organisers of the event announced on Facebook that the restrictions that are still in place in South Australia will not make it possible to go ahead and give the public what they so desperately deserve in the reimagined club night.

In an unexpected twist that no one saw coming an iconic, nay, legendary Adelaide nightclub announce earlier this year that they would be returning. Unfortunately however, due to current COVID restrictions, the event has now been cancelled.

Organisers of the event announced on Facebook that the restrictions that are still in place in South Australia will not make it possible to go ahead and give the public what they so desperately deserve in the reimagined club night.

All ticket holders will be issued a refund noted the organisers, however many people took to the comments to express ideas of alternate options including virtually bringing the space back to life to try and support the nightlife industry as best as possible in this time.

Celebrating the golden era from 1999 to 2008, Rise Nightclub would have been rising from the ashes of its past to bring party-goers a night of nostalgia and good old noughties fun.

The massive announcement came on Facebook several months ago by Rise’s very own John Morley, Rmac, Josh and Justice, and quickly saw thousands of people commenting in excitement for the return of the iconic club.

The anticipated reunion was set to take place on Sunday 3 October – the long weekend – at Atlantis Lounge in Adelaide’s Light Square.
