Singer/songwriter and Adelaide socialite, Cat Southern, will be named one of Adelaide’s most eligible singles on Channel 7’s Today Tonight, at 6:30pm.
Cat, along with 4 others, will feature in the story that focuses on some of Adelaide’s most eligible bachelors and bachelorettes.
‘It’s fun to be named as one of Adelaide’s most eligible singles,’ says Cat.
‘I do look forward to the possibility of sharing my life with someone. But don’t worry eligible guys out there – I won’t do a Taylor Swift and write songs about you! Or maybe I will!!’
Once a champion gymnast and diver, Cat eventually discovered that her real passion was music.
‘While my sporting career was my focus growing up, I was also listening to music, singing along and doing the dance moves. Music has always played a big part of my life, but it was a few years ago when I realised that my singing was the most important thing in my life’.
Now with multiple top 5 singles both here and in Europe on the Independent charts, many awards to her name and some amazing gigs performed, Cat now sees how all of her hard work and determination has paid off.
Cat has recently returned from living in the USA and travelling all over the world to places like Iraq, Afghanistan and New Caledonia.
Cat is now very happy to be back home in South Australia, spending time with her family and friends and is looking to settle down with someone special!
When Cat isn’t working on her music she can be found attending Adelaide’s VIP events and gracing the social pages of our magazines and newspapers.
Cat has been ramping up her music again over the past 6 months, finding inspiration for her new album. She performed at the amazing Louis Bond last month and is loving being back behind the mic. Cat is looking forward to some more local gigs in the coming months.
Cat is also a very proud ambassador for Variety the Children’s Charity and sits on the committee for YVariety.
While it might seem like Cat is all about the glitz and glamour of her music career, she insists this is not the case.
‘I love getting dressed up to attend events, walk a red carpet and pose for the cameras, but I also love nothing better than a night in snuggled on the couch!’
So for a girl who ticks all the boxes, why does this talented and stunning young lady not have a Mr Right standing by her side?
Many successful and dynamic women like Cat, face the same struggles of men being afraid of approaching someone who seems to have it all it seems!
‘In the past my music career has always been my priority. While I look forward to finding Mr Right, I guess it just hasn’t been my focus over the past few years. Plus it’s hard to find someone and settle down when you’re travelling so much!’
