Adelaide’s skyline is slowly creeping higher and higher, and with it, rooftop bars have been popping up with increased frequency. Making the most of the fantastic views, and our fantastic SA wines, craft beers, gins and more, is something we’re all pretty happy to do, so when we heard about a new rooftop bar that’s on the cards, we couldn’t wait to tell you all about it.
Unlike 2KW, the Cathedral Hotel rooftop and the Hennessy bar at the Mayfair Hotel, there’s a rooftop bar planned for Pulteney Street which won’t be open to the public, and it’s GORGEOUS.
The incredible roof top bar will sit atop the Solea apartment building, and will be only accessible to residents. With a community garden and terrace, and views to die for, we’ll be keeping an eye on this one. Sounds like a good reason to move to the city right?

The new Solea Apartments will be located at 261 Pulteney Street, and look to be perfect for city professionals, who want convenience and location, but overall, lifestyle.
The exclusive development will only have 68 apartments in the building, keeping it small enough to have a community feel, without having everybody knowing your business. With some of the larger developments offering 200-300+ apartments, Solea won’t be congesting its cark park or amenities by cramming thousands of residents inside. There will be 4 apartments per floor, and 28 carparks available (specifically for the two bedrooms from level 10 upwards).
With the location smack bang between Victoria Square and Hindmarsh Square – it will be an easy walk to all of our favourite city hangs.
Solea is already selling from the plans, with construction set to begin in late 2017. The development will be complete in 2019, just in time to enjoy the new Adelaide Riverbank area, new Festival Plaza, Royal Adelaide Hospital redevelopment, completed Adelaide Convention Centre, the all new Casino, and other incredible projects which are underway around the city.
Adelaide’s growing up and we’re excited to watch it all unfold.
