For weeks now, Adelaide has been taunted by a man in a white suit popping up at different locations around the city. After capturing the attention of all Adelaideans, we’ve all been dying to know, who is he?
The wait is finally over, the mysterious ‘Man in The White Suit’ who has been spotted all over town giving away goodies has been revealed and radio station Mix102.3 is behind it.
The man is known for his polite and generous nature, politely approaching members of the public handing out everything from flowers to cash, turning around and walking away, expecting nothing in return.
This strange string of events began with free white roses on Valentine’s Day then turned into icy poles during Adelaide’s recent heatwave and last week, he must have run out of things to give away as he was handing out money.
He has covered considerable ground during his gift-giving pursuit, having been spotted locally in Rundle Mall, Paradise, Port Adelaide, Marion and Seacliff – always travelling around in his white stretch hummer of course.
People have been asking questions about the man’s origin, taking to Reddit and sending images of his whereabouts, serving almost as a modern-day’ Gossip Girl’.
While we’ve reported considerably about this mysterious man and have been sent plenty of images from curious Adelaideans hoping to find some answers, we can finally say we have the answers for you all.
It has been revealed that Adelaide radio station Mix102.3 is responsible for the gift-giving hunk, Head of KIIS Network, Derek Bargwanna explains.
“We thought it’d be a fun idea to spread kindness and love around Adelaide, with a little mysterious twist”.
In the coming weeks, the Man in the White Suit will continue his generous pursuit giving out thousands in free cash to any and all that passes by.
With Mad March in all its glory, he is likely to make an appearance at some of Adelaide’s large-scale events, while also continuing his suburban visits.
“At the end of the day, it’s Adelaideans sharing love and joy. Those who interact with the man in the white suit walk away with big smiles, and more often than not, a small gift,” said Derek.
Mix102.3 will be dropping clues on live radio about the man’s whereabouts this week, so tune in if you want an advantage when trying to track him down.
