Adelaide’s new $60M Hotel Panorama is now open with rooftop bars, luxury suites and a disco ball pizza oven

The massive new Hotel Panorama is now open, bringing rooftop dining, luxury accommodation, sports bars and more than 150 new jobs to Adelaide’s southern suburbs.

Adelaide’s southern suburbs have welcomed a major new hospitality destination, with Hotel Panorama officially opening its doors following a huge $60 million development by the Hurley Hotel Group. The brand new hotel officially opened its doors today, with the Premier Peter Malinauskas pouring the first beer.

The five-storey venue is the largest investment in the family business’s history and is set to become a major new hub for accommodation, dining, entertainment and events in the city’s south.

Located along Goodwood Road, Hotel Panorama combines 77 hotel rooms, rooftop dining, bars, event spaces and serviced apartments all under one roof, while also creating more than 150 ongoing hospitality and tourism jobs across Adelaide.

For Hurley Hotel Group Publican Peter Hurley says, “The Hotel Panorama is the largest investment in our family business to date, and we are incredibly proud to open the doors. This project is about more than just a new hotel, it’s about creating jobs, supporting the local economy and delivering a venue that brings people together.”

On the ground floor, guests will find a cafe bar and restaurant built around a striking sunken fire lounge, alongside a new sports bar called Sideline, complete with an outdoor beer garden and a massive seven-metre screen designed for major sporting events.

Wonderland, the hotel’s rooftop bar, delivers sweeping views across the coastline, city skyline and Adelaide Hills, with interiors leaning heavily into playful late-night energy. Think twinkling ceiling lights, booth seating and, perhaps most importantly, a gold disco ball pizza oven.

The hotel has also dramatically expanded event and function offerings for the area, with multiple dedicated spaces catering to everything from corporate meetings to large celebrations.

Among them is the Three Brothers Boardroom, named in honour of Peter Hurley’s three great uncles who lost their lives in World War I.

The top-floor Springbank and Kingston function rooms can host up to 300 guests cocktail-style when combined, positioning the venue as a significant new player in Adelaide’s events scene.

Accommodation-wise, the development includes 77 rooms spread across three levels, including 26 serviced apartments and two premium Panorama Suites featuring fireplaces, soaking tubs and private balconies.

Guests also have access to gym facilities, laundry amenities and extended-stay features designed to cater for both short-term visitors and longer stays.

Hotel Panorama General Manager Scott Oakley says, “Hotel Panorama represents the most significant
hospitality investment by the Hurley Hotel Group, and one of the most significant seen in Adelaide in
recent times. We are proud to have created a transformative destination designed to set a new
benchmark for Adelaide.”

The project was constructed by fellow South Australian family business Sarah Constructions and reflects growing confidence in Adelaide’s southern corridor, particularly with nearby institutions including Flinders University, the Tonsley Innovation Precinct, Flinders Medical Centre and the South Australian Aquatic and Leisure Centre all within close reach.

With rooftop cocktails, luxury suites, sports screenings and a disco-ball pizza oven now officially part of the neighbourhood, Hotel Panorama is making a pretty strong case for the south becoming Adelaide’s next major hospitality hotspot.
