Adelaide’s new mobile karaoke bar is bringing all the 2000s nostalgia and singalongs to your next party

A brand-new mobile karaoke pop-up called Pitch is delivering nostalgic, high-energy house-party vibes to Glenelg and Adelaide Fringe with private, judgement-free singalongs.

If you’ve been planning a party and are looking for the one thing to take it to the next level, meet Adelaide’s new mobile karaoke pop-up bar, Pitch.

Not about how good the vocals are or how polished the performance is, Pitch is all about recreating the carefree, house-party vibe many of us grew up with.

The concept was created by cousins Claudia Chatburn and Jessica Kneebone, who spotted a gap in the market for karaoke that is private, inclusive and accessible. “Our childhood was full of sleepovers, long car trips (singing way too loud) and fighting over who got the Discman next,” shared Claudia. “Pitch recreates these core memories for those who experienced something similar as kids. This is the glowier, louder version!”

Pitch is housed inside a converted shipping container, creating a fully contained karaoke experience. Designed to feel intimate, fun and a little bit unhinged, groups book private sessions, step inside, pick their songs and let loose, all without the stage fright, no strangers watching, and absolutely no judgement. This is karaoke for people who want to sing their hearts out without feeling self-conscious.

Sessions can range from 20 minutes to an hour and a half, with pricing becoming more affordable per person as group sizes increase. The song list is stacked with classic karaoke hits that span generations, like Mr. Brightside, I Want It That Way, Dancing Queen, WAP, Teenage Dirtbag, Shallow and Party in the U.S.A.

Pitch has also been built to travel. Outside of pop-up appearances, the business is available for private hire, making it perfect for hens parties, birthdays, weddings and engagement celebrations. Whether it’s pre-drinks, post-dinner or the main affair of the night, Pitch will be the perfect addition to elevate your party.

Before officially hitting Adelaide Fringe, Pitch will make its debut at the Glenelg Ice Cream Festival, and then at Chapel Plaza off Jetty Road this weekend. Saturday and Sunday will feature paid bookable sessions, paired with a drinks van and seating to help performers build a little liquid courage before stepping inside.

Once Fringe kicks off, Pitch will call Fool’s Paradise home, operating from Wednesday to Sunday across the festival. While walk-up opportunities may be available depending on demand, bookings are encouraged.

So if you’ve been looking for karaoke that’s as nostalgic as it is fun, Pitch is without a doubt something you should add to your list.

Catch Pitch at the Glenelg Ice Cream Festival on Friday, February 6th, and Chapel Plaza off Jetty Road on Saturday, February 7th and Sunday, February 8th or at Fool’s Paradise from Wednesday to Sunday across the festival.
