Adelaide East End new progressive lunch is a self-guided afternoon adventure

Adelaide’s newest progressive long lunch, Wine N’ Dine, invites food and wine lovers to explore four top East End venues in one delicious self-guided afternoon.

Adelaide is welcoming a bold new dining experience that pairs local flavour with city exploration. Wine N’ Dine is a self-guided progressive long lunch debuting on Saturday 30 August, bringing together four of the CBD’s best venues and some of South Australia’s top winemakers for one unforgettable afternoon.

The new event is the brainchild of Neighbourhood Events, the team behind some of the state’s most vibrant food and drink happenings, including the popular Urban Wine Walk.

Owner and Director Josh Starick says the idea was to bring a fresh energy to Adelaide’s long lunch scene.

“Adelaide has always had a rich food and wine culture. We wanted to showcase it in a fresh, immersive way,” Josh explains.

“The idea behind Wine N’ Dine is to take the best elements of a long lunch, great food and incredible wine, and turn it into a dynamic city trail that champions four incredible local venues and winemakers.”

This progressive afternoon lets guests chart their own path between East End Cellars, Monica Bistro, Mother Vine and Society Bar.

Each venue has been paired with a standout local winery, featuring Aphelion, Main & Cherry, Chaffey Bros and Alpha Box & Dice.

The journey kicks off with a glass of Howard Park Petit Jeté at your chosen starting point, then the rest of the afternoon is up to you.

Josh says the self-guided format is what really sets the event apart.

“Guests can explore at their own pace, lingering where they feel most comfortable,” he says.

“Instead of being tied to the same seat, they’re invited to wander, discover and curate their own perfect afternoon.”

Tickets include four signature small plates and four matched wines, served across the participating venues.

Josh promises a mouthwatering mix of dishes and drops.

“Each venue and winemaker truly brings something special to the table. Guests don’t have to worry about choosing just one dish or wine. Instead, they’re invited to taste, sip and discover a variety of thoughtfully curated offerings throughout the day.”

As with all Neighbourhood Events experiences, there’s a strong focus on local.

“Supporting local is at the heart of what we do,” Josh says.

“South Australia is home to some of the world’s most celebrated wine regions, and we wanted to showcase a handpicked selection of those in a new way.”

Wine N’ Dine is designed for those who love a little freedom with their flavour. It’s casual, curated and completely delicious.

“Whether you’re a local rediscovering your city or a visitor seeing Adelaide for the first time, we want you to leave feeling inspired, satisfied and connected to the culture and creativity that make South Australia so special,” Josh says.
