Adelaide’s Newest Artisan Pizza Place Is Also A Pastry Dessert Lab

We’re pretty sure someone has been snooping in our dreams — because we have just discovered a pizza and dessert fusion restaurant that is the stuff of dreams.

Blue Velvet is a pizza place, sure, but it is so much more than that. Not only is the pizza authentically Italian (we wouldn’t have it any other way), but it’s made with a wholesome mix of premium and unrefined flours.

The dough is also left to ferment naturally in a leavening chamber for at least 72 hours to make it easier to digest and enhancing its organoleptic properties.

Their pizzas are then cooked up in a fancy oven — we won’t get into the details, but we will tell you that it’s the only one of it’s kind in South Australia, which is pretty cool.

On top of their delicious pizzas, Blue Velvet cooks up desserts from scratch in-house daily — just the way dessert should be.

The Facebook page also tells us that Blue Velvet will also be hosting high teas! Their expert tea sommelier will serve you teas alongside a selection of house made biscuits matched perfectly with your tea.

Sounds like Blue Velvet will be a triple threat!
