Adelaide’s north has recently welcomed two new grab and go venues, bringing a fresh new foodie scene to area. St George’s Bakehouse and Mr Rolls Vietnamese have officially opened their doors at Edinburgh Central, marking a major milestone for the growing innovation hub at the centre of Adelaide’s defence precinct.

Located on Sturton Road, the two eateries are the first hospitality tenants to open at Edinburgh Central, a new development designed to bring life and convenience to an area that has been underserviced when it comes to food options. Catering to the growing workforce of high-tech and defence industries nearby, the venues are already proving a hit among locals and workers alike.

For Stephanie, manager of St George’s Bakehouse Edinburgh, the response to the cafe has been great to see. “There are quite a few St George’s around South Australia now, but this one really fills a gap. We’ve got a lot of regulars from the industrial area, and they love that they can now come in and have a decent meal, sit down for half an hour and relax.

“We’ve built some really great relationships with our customers too. We see a lot of them daily, so there’s a really nice community feel. We are also hosting a Cars and Coffee event once a month, which brings in the car community and gives the area a bit more attention.”

A familiar name across South Australia, St George’s Bakehouse is known for its bakery treats, coffee, and lunch options. The Edinburgh location brings that same warmth and quality to the industrial north, that South Aussies have grown to love.

Next door, Mr Rolls Vietnamese is bringing a fresh and fast take on modern Vietnamese dining from the team behind Rollsfinity.

“The arrival of St George’s Bakehouse and Mr Rolls Vietnamese marks the beginning of an exciting new chapter for Edinburgh Central,” said a spokesperson for the precinct. “These new food options will not only enhance the daily experience for workers in the area but are a key part of our long-term vision to create a vibrant, connected precinct.”

Joining the precinct later this year is Minato Sushi, and with more tenants on the way, Edinburgh Central is shaping up to be an exciting new dining destination for Adelaide’s north.
