Adelaide’s Reunion Festival promises epic return with local talent and four stages in 2025

After the smash-hit success of ‘Heaven Reunion Festival’ earlier this year, the team behind it is gearing up for something even bigger for 2025.

After the smash-hit success of ‘Heaven Reunion Festival’ earlier this year, hailed as one of the most uplifting and electrifying dance music events, the team behind it is gearing up for something even bigger for 2025.

In January 2024, four Adelaide DJs – John Morley, Souli, Audioporn, and Rmac – pulled off something incredible at Morphettville Racecourse, drawing a crowd of nearly 5000 die-hard fans despite fewer festivals happening nationwide. It was such a hit that everyone is still buzzing about it. Now, these guys are back for round two.

Building on this year’s success, Heaven Reunion Festival is transforming into ‘Reunion Festival’. The the team has locked down Morphettville Racecourse once again for January 18th and are pulling out all the stops, with not just three, but four stages this time around. That’s right, they’ve added a hot new house music stage to the line-up.

The festival is set to feature music from a range of genres, with everything from House and RnB to Electro, Club Anthems, Drum and Bass, Jungle, Hardcore, Energy, and Trance. But it’s not just about the beats; the 2025 Reunion Festival will pay tribute to Adelaide’s legendary clubs and events that has defined the city’s nightlife.

Remember the pulse-pounding nights at Apple, Cargo, Heaven, HQ, Planet, Q Bar (now sugar), Synagogue (now Mary’s Poppin), and Tapas (famous for its legendary Sunday nights)? Those were the days when the dance floors were always packed, the energy was electric and memories were made. The festival promises to revive those memories and more, celebrating the nostalgic history of Adelaide’s club scene.

“For next year, we thought, Heaven wasn’t the only club in South Australia,” DJ and Event Organiser Souli Tsiolis says.

“We decided to just open it up and call it ‘Reunion’ because there’s a lot of other clubs that were in Adelaide.

“The old clubs, when Adelaide had proper nightclubs, that could go all night basically” Souli jokes.

Organisers have made it clear that their goal is to create an event “for South Australia”, highlighting the importance of local involvement and celebrating the collective achievements within the state’s club and music scene.

“It’s all South Australian. Adelaide’s club scene in the 2000s was one of the leading club scenes in Australia,” Souli says.

“For us to do an event with all South Australian artists, it’s made everyone stand up.”

With the promise of an even bigger and more spectacular festival on the horizon, organisers are calling out to everyone who loves music and a good time with a resounding “YES” to join them in making this upcoming event absolutely unforgettable.

“The one thing we enjoyed [this year] was that everyone had a smile on their face,” Souli says.

“Everyone was just enjoying themselves, everyone put their phones down and was just enjoying the tunes.”

In 2025, Reunion Festival isn’t going to be just a stroll down memory lane through Adelaide’s iconic club history; it’s a chance to dance, reconnect, and celebrate the beats that bring us nightlife lovers together.
