Adelaide’s Star In The Miss Galaxy Finals

Jessica DavisAdelaide model, Jess Davis, is one of the four South Australian finalists heading to Sydney this weekend to compete in the Miss Galaxy Australia National Finals.

The Miss Galaxy Pageant has been successfully running in America for the past 15 years, and was bought to Australia for the first time last year. The pageant consists of five judging criteria sections, photographic, interview, fashion wear, swimwear and evening gown. The lucky winner of the pageant on Sunday will be flown over to the USA to represent Australia in the Miss Galaxy International 2013 final.

Miss Davis admits that she is a little nervous as she knows the competition will be tough over in Sydney, but she is trying to keep all positive thoughts flowing.

Contestants taking part in the competition are encouraged to help raise money for the Make A Wish Foundation, who help grant wishes to children with life-threatening medical conditions. For the past couple of month Miss Davis has been aiming to raise $3000 for the Make A Wish Foundation, but after her very successful fundraising event she raised her target to $5000.

On the 14th of February Miss Davis held a red carpet event called ‘Que Dessa’ at White Rabbit on Hindley Street for over 100 guests. The night included a fashion show with Tanya Powell models and a fashion auction of the items from the parade. The donations from the event took her grand total of fundraising up to $2782.50. Therefore with still over a month remaining to raise more funds she gave herself a challenge by raising the bar to $5000.

Glam Adelaide would like to wish Jess and all of the other SA contestants good luck with the national competition and their fundraising efforts!
