Adelaide’s weather forecast for Friday November 29th and the weekend ahead

Adelaide’s weather takes a turn this weekend with mixed conditions ranging from sunny spells to potential showers and thunderstorms.

Adelaide is set for a varying weather pattern over the coming days as conditions shift between showers, possible thunderstorms, and sunny spells. Friday begins with mostly sunny weather and a top of 25 degrees, but there is a medium chance of showers and possible thunderstorms by evening. Light winds will swing from southwesterly to southerly as the day progresses.

For those planning their weekend, Saturday shows a greater likelihood of rainfall with a 70% chance of showers, particularly in the early morning. The maximum temperature will hover around 25 degrees. Occasional thunderstorms are also on the horizon, alongside southwesterly winds that will calm by late evening.

As we move into Sunday, the weather appears milder with a slight chance of morning showers and a partly cloudy day forecast. Temperatures are expected to reach a maximum of 26 degrees, with light winds shifting from southwesterly to westerly throughout the day.

Across South Australia, the conditions vary significantly. A high pressure system is currently influencing the weather over the western parts of the state, while a trough affects the eastern areas. On Friday, isolated showers are expected across the agricultural regions and the West Coast district, potentially extending towards the eastern border by evening. Thunderstorms are more likely in areas east of the Flinders and Mount Lofty Ranges, with temperatures generally near average in the eastern districts but below average elsewhere.

Saturday will start with fog patches in western regions before giving way to showers and possible heavy thunderstorms, especially around the southeast and east of the Eyre Peninsula. Winds from the southwest to southeast will become more pronounced during the afternoon.

On Sunday, morning fog is again predicted for western parts with isolated showers in the southeast expected to clear by the afternoon. Additionally, new showers and thunderstorms could develop towards the far west later in the day, with temperatures showing a variance from below average in the east to above average in the west.
