Adelaide can expect for a mix of showers and clear skies, with the Bureau of Meteorology issuing strong wind warnings for coastal areas.

The Adelaide area is set to experience changeable weather conditions today and the following day, as outlined in the latest forecasts from the Bureau of Meteorology.

As of today, the possibility of showers remains, though they are expected to become less probable by late morning. The skies are set to clear up somewhat by the afternoon, with mostly sunny conditions anticipated. Today’s temperature is expected to peak at 18°C. Current wind conditions are from the west to southwest, with speeds reaching 25 to 35 km/h.

For Monday, 30 September, a slightly warmer day is expected with temperatures ranging from a minimum of 10°C to a maximum of 20°C. The day will generally be partly cloudy with a medium chance of rain, particularly in the morning and afternoon. The winds will be westerly at 15 to 20 km/h, becoming lighter towards the late afternoon.

Later in the week, we can expect some heat, with a high of 25 on Wednesday, and 27 on Thursday.

Further afield, a strong marine wind warning has been issued for several areas along the coast, effective until midnight of Sunday, 29 September. The warning encompasses the Central Coast, South Central Coast, Upper South East Coast, and Lower South East Coast.

Looking at South Australia more broadly, the weather variation is driven by a cold front moving across Victoria towards the east today. Following the front, a ridge of high pressure is forecasted to build across the southern regions. Early next week, a high-pressure system is expected to establish itself over the southern part of South Australia.

Temperature patterns are projected to remain near average in the southeast, slightly above average in the far northeast, and below average in other regions. Winds from the north to northwest are anticipated in the North East Pastoral area, with a change to southwest to southerly throughout the day.

By Monday, isolated showers are expected mainly around the windward coasts and ranges of the southern agricultural area, with dry conditions forecasted elsewhere. Temperature readings are predicted to range from average to below average. The wind direction will vary from southeast to easterly about the north, swinging westerly towards the south.
