Looking ahead to Friday, get ready for a cloudy day with a high of 17°C and a very high chance of showers, 90% likely. Rainfall could range from 1 to 6 mm, so an umbrella might be a good companion for the day. Winds will be lively, increasing to 25 to 35 km/h by midday. There will also be strong wind warnings for various coastal areas, so keep an eye on those breezy conditions.
Across the state, a trough continues to move across SA this morning with cold fronts expected moving across the south on Friday and Saturday. A high pressure system will move across from the west on Sunday ahead of another trough and cold front early to mid next week.
There’s a strong and gale wind warning across the Lower South East Coast, South Central Coast and Upper South East Coast for today. Going into Friday, the winds will intensify in Central Coast, South Central Coast, Investigator Strait, Upper South East Coast and Lower South East Coast.
Expect isolated showers across the agricultural area and West Coast district, most frequent about the southern agricultural area. Maximum temperatures will sit below average in the south but above average in the north. Southwesterly winds will extend throughout the state, strong near southern coasts.
