Adelaide’s weather forecast for Tuesday January 21st and the week ahead

We are set for a sunny day today with a maximum of 31 degrees. Expect light winds becoming south to southeasterly 15 to 25 km/h turning southwesterly 20 to 30 km/h in the late morning then tending southerly 25 to 35 km/h in the late afternoon.

As for the fire danger rating, it is high in the Mount Lofty Rangers, but there is no rating in the Adelaide Metropolitan area.

Looking ahead to Wednesday it’s set to stay warm. Expect a maximum of 28 degrees and a minimum of 16 degrees. Winds will be south to southeasterly 25 to 35 km/h, and conditions will be partly cloudy.

Thursday will once again see partly cloudy conditions, with a high of 25 degrees and a low of 14 degrees, and a 10% chance of rain. Simillar conditions are expected for the rest of the week and into the long weekend.

Over the next week, the UV is set to reach extreme levels of 12 and 13. With these high numbers, it is recommended to wear sun protection from 9:00am to 5:40pm each day.

For Tuesday, January 21st and Wednesday, January 22nd, the Bureau of Meteorology has issued strong marine wind warnings for the Adelaide Metropolitan Waters, Spencer Gulf, Gulf St Vincent and Upper South East Coast on Tuesday, and the Spencer Gulf and Upper South East Coast on Wednesday.
