Expect isolated showers, particularly in central and eastern areas, with the chance of a thunderstorm lingering through the morning and afternoon. So, keep those umbrellas handy. Winds will be quite breezy today, with northeast to northwesterly gusts at 20 to 30 km/h, shifting to a lighter southerly breeze by evening.

Those in the city will experience showers and storms with a high of 29°C, while Elizabeth is set for a warm day at 30°C, also with potential storms. Glenelg and Noarlunga will be slightly cooler at 27°C, accompanied by showers, and Mount Barker will reach a maximum of 28°C, experiencing similar weather. Basically, no matter where you are be prepared for a day of dynamic conditions.

If you’re planning to be outdoors, sun protection is recommended from 9:40am to 4:20pm, as the UV Index is expected to reach 7 (High).

Also be aware that there’s a Strong Wind Warning for the Upper South East Coast and Lower South East Coast. It’s essential to stay safe if you’re near coastal areas, especially as gusty conditions rise.

Looking ahead to tomorrow, Wednesday, we’ll shift gears to mostly sunny skies and a high of 28°C. Morning fog may roll in, but the chance of rain will dip to just 10%. It’s a lovely day to enjoy outdoor activities with light winds and plenty of sunshine.

Looking at the weather across the country, Sydney is currently experiencing a mild 14.7°C with showers easing, with the temperature is expected to reach between 16° and 20°C. Meanwhile, Melbourne is a bit cooler at 11.0°C, with a possible late shower. Over in Brisbane, the temperature is 16.5°C with a slight chance of showers. Perth is at 15.2°C, with morning showers. In contrast, Hobart enjoys sunny skies at 6.4°C, while Canberra is cloudy at 10.4°C. Finally, Darwin is warm at 25.3°C with a few showers.

The overall outlook for this week in Adelaide is for a high-pressure system to move in, bringing more settled weather by the weekend.
