Adelaide is looking at a partly cloudy day with a 10% chance of rain, according to the Bureau of Meteorology’s latest reading. Some morning fog will hang over the hills and northern suburbs, but that’s expected to clear as we head into the afternoon. Showers and possible thunderstorms will also develop across the far northwest. The temperature will reach a high of 21 degrees, with light winds making for a pleasant afternoon.
Looking ahead to Wednesday, September 11th, a cold front and trough will move through the area with partly cloudy skies expected and a 40% chance of showers throughout the day. There is the possiblity for some light rain, with possible amounts between 0 and 1mm. There’s also a chance of thunderstorms in the far northwest, and showers will be more frequent near the southern coasts.
Winds will start out light but will pick up, shifting from southwesterly at 20 to 30 kilometers per hour in the morning to southerly by early afternoon. Temperatures will vary, with a high of 18 degrees Celsius, above average in the northeastern parts but below average elsewhere. So, if you’re planning to be out and about tomorrow, keep an eye on the sky and stay prepared for those showers.
There are no warnings for South Australia today – but as always, stay safe out there!
Residents and visitors in Adelaide and across South Australia should expect skies to clear today, but potentially unsettled weather could return by the middle of the week with the approaching cold front.
