Adelaide will see a mix of weather conditions over the coming days, according to the latest from the Bureau of Meteorology (BOM).

For the remainder of today, Adelaide will experience partly cloudy conditions with a maximum temperature hitting 28 degrees and a low of 16. Rain chances stand at a minimal 5%. Wind speeds will be noticeable, coming from the south to southeasterly direction at 25 to 35 km/h.

As the week progresses into Thursday, temperatures are predicted to slightly decrease. Early morning minimums will drop to 15 degrees, climbing to a daytime top of 26 degrees under partly cloudy skies. The likelihood of rain increases slightly to 10%. Winds on Thursday will shift from east to southeasterly at 15 to 25 km/h in the morning, becoming lighter before switching to a southeast to southwesterly direction at 20 to 30 km/h by midday.

The weather on Friday will continue the trend of partly cloudy skies, with daytime temperatures reaching up to 28 degrees after starting at a cooler 13 degrees in the morning. The chance of rainfall drops to zero. Wind conditions will remain steady with southeasterly winds at 15 to 20 km/h, altering to a southeast to southwesterly direction throughout the day and returning to southeasterly in the evening within the speed range of 15 to 25 km/h.

Strong wind warnings are in place for Wednesday across various coastal areas including Spencer Gulf, Gulf St Vincent, Upper South East Coast, and Lower South East Coast.

Weather patterns for South Australia are influenced by a ridge of high pressure located to the south of the state compared with a trough over the northeast. This setup maintains a predominantly south to southeasterly airflow across the region. A new high expected to establish south of the Bight by Friday will sustain southeast to easterly flows into Saturday.

Isolated showers may affect the Southern Agricultural Areas moving into Thursday, with possibilities of reaching into Riverland and Murraylands. Temperatures across the northern half of the state will remain above average, while the southern segments will feel cooler than usual, particularly in the far southeast where temperatures may fall well below average. Coastal areas can expect potentially fresh southerly winds.

BOM predicts a dry Friday across most parts of South Australia, save for a low possibility of light showers over the Lower South East Coast. Both maximum and minimum temperatures across the region on Friday will generally be below average apart from the far northwest which may experience slightly warmer conditions.
